A letter from Angel
You know how a few months ago I said how family was geting in tuch for the first time? Well I got a letter from my sister, Angel.[I'll put my comments in brackets. Why am I puting this up?, I don't know. I just thought it would be easyer to get my points accross this way. Anyway, this is the letter as is.]Beth, Donald and J.B.,Thank you for the letters. It was so good hearing from you. I've been wanting to write back before now but it's been so busy.My 30th birthday was a couple of weeks ago. We had a reall nice dinner with my mom, Helena (and her family) and Rodney's family (his folks, one sister, three brothers and their families). It was fun. [Helena is my half sister. Angel's mother is, obvously, not mine]Last Sunday we celebrated Chloe's third birthday [Angel's daughter]. We had a party for her at my mom's house in Trenton. It's abot a five hour drive so that part wasn't any fun. We got her a bike. She loved it. We drove home Sunday night. On Monday (her actual birthday) we had a "play-do" [isn't it spelled "play-doh"?] party with her playgroup. So it was a good couple of days for her. [I bet]Your letters sounded like you've been busy as well. Beth, I hope you and your grandmother are felling better. I was so excited to get picture of your two youn men. [JB, youn man?]I showed Uncle Donald's [Uncle Donald, wow] picture to Chloe (I've spoken of you to her but I think pictures speak more then words when it comes to three year olds). [I would imagine] Anyway, then I showed her J.B.'s picture and told her this is Uncle Donald's little brother and her response was "J.B. my uncle too?". She caught me off gard but I told her "How about we ask J.B.". [cought me off gard too, JB, an uncle?, wow] So Chloe and I are wondering if you, J.B., would like to "adopt" a couple little girls as nieces. You can think about it.Helena, called me very excitedly about her phone call with you. [me. Who she's talking too in thes letter keeps changing] I think she was also a little confused that we had already been in touch. I just explaned to her that she's an adult with her own family and I felt like she needed to introduce herself to you on her own terms and that she should be the one to tell you [me, again] about her family. [ was wondering why Angel never said anythin about Helena] She agreed.Donald, I hope you are not overwhelmed by everything that's been happening in the last few months and I guess I'm wondering how you are feling about all of this. [quite frankly, I am a bit overwhelmed] Would you like me to continue writing you? [next time use 3-M4!L] It realy is your decision. I would love to keep writing you ad I don't expect you to write back but I will understand if your not ready yet. I'm sure if you respond to your mom she'll let me know. [right, mom]I don't know if it's been cold there but we've been getting frozen rain and snow the last few days. Nedless to say, we've been staying in and keeping warm. Hope this letter finds you all cozy warm and felling well. [ I'm always cold lately][According to mom, Helena is a bit pi-polar. The night we talked she was ready to drive down her, (I think it's a four day trip, or something) we talked her into a simple E-mail. And I still havent herd from her. apperntly she suffers from the same illness that my father does, but found the right combo of drugs to counter it. My father, however, has not. I don't even know his name. well thinks for lesitining.]
